JUPITER, FL – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited Crown Roofing LLC, based in Sarasota, Florida, for exposing employees to fall hazards at a Jupiter worksite. The company faces $149,662 in proposed fines.
OSHA investigated Crown Roofing LLC as part of the Agency’s Regional Emphasis Program for Falls in Construction. OSHA cited the company for one repeat violation – which carries a maximum penalty of $129,336 – for failing to utilize a guardrail, safety net, or personal fall arrest systems while working at heights greater than 6 feet.
