OSHA renews alliance with the West Texas Safety Training Center to promote worker safety and health for oil & gas workers in Odessa, Texas

Alliance description: The department’s Lubbock Area Office and the West Texas Safety Training Center signed an alliance on Feb. 18 to renew a commitment to increase access to material and knowledge that aims to promote understanding of the workplace safety and health rights and responsibilities of workers and employers throughout the construction, general and oil & gas industries. With more than 1,000 members, the center is the only non-profit safety training organization in the Permian Basin governed by area industry.

Duration: The alliance is for a three-year term.

We greatly appreciate their support for OSHA’s workplace safety initiatives,” said Elizabeth Linda Routh, OSHA’s area director in Lubbock.
