Essential Workers, Essential Protections: Virtual Presentation (Illinois)

Contact: ADD Meghan Svacina (svacina.meghan@dol.gov) The U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division will discuss rapid changes in the workplace that have generated many questions for workers, their advocates, and employers. We will cover topics such as wages, hours worked, and time off for workers and their family members dealing with serious illness. The presentation will include information about the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Family and Medical Leave Act - laws that provide protections for workers that may be more crucial now, than ever before.
