About the Library
The U.S. Department of Labor Library, established in 1917, is one of the oldest Cabinet-level libraries.
U.S. Department of Labor employees can access digital subscriptions to newspapers, journals, and other periodicals by using the library search page on LaborNet. The Wirtz Labor Library also has a large historical collection, only accessible through a card catalog search. Contact the library for assistance. Appointments are required for the public.
