Notice of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended,
an investigation was initiated in response to a petition filed on
June 4, 2020, by a state workforce office on behalf of workers of
Mid Continent Cabinetry, Norcraft Companies LP, a subsidiary of
Masterbrand Cabinets, Inc., which is a subsidiary of Fortune Brands
Home & Security, Inc., Cottonwood, Minnesota (TA-W-95,959) and
MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc., a subsidiary of Fortune Brands Home &
Security, Inc., Jasper, Indiana (TA-W-95,959A).
The investigation revealed that during the period of
investigation, the workers' firm located in Cottonwood, Minnesota
(TA-W-95,959) did not employ a worker group. Under 29 Code of
Federal Regulations Part 90.2, a group is defined as "...three or
more workers in a firm or an appropriate subdivision thereof."
Since April 17, 2019, which is the one-year period preceding the
date that the Federal Register notice pertaining to the
International Trade Commission's determination was published,
only one (1) worker was employed by and totally separated from the
Cottonwood, Minnesota location. A company official verified that
all workers, with the exception of one (1), were totally separated
from the firm as of December 31, 2018. The remaining worker was
then totally separated on January 2, 2020.
In addition, the worker group reporting to Jasper, Indiana (TA-
W-95,959A), on whose behalf the petition was also filed is covered
under an existing certification (TA-W-95,951), which expires on
April 17, 2021. Consequently, the investigation has been terminated.
Signed in Washington, D.C. this 21st day of July 2020.
