Notice of Termination of Investigation
Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as
amended, an investigation was initiated in response to a
petition filed on February 26, 2020 by a State Workforce Office
on behalf of former workers of Concept Systems Manufacturing,
San Jose, California. The petition states "LAM research
terminated contract with employer and outsourced work to
Scotland" and states that worker separations occurred on
December 31, 2019.
Pursuant to 29 CFR 90.17(e)(1), workers separated more than
one year before the date of the petition are excluded from
coverage of certification. Information provided to the
Department revealed that the subject firm permanently shut down
on December 14, 2018. The petition has been deemed invalid.
Consequently, the investigation has been terminated.
