Notice of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended,
an investigation was initiated in response to a petition filed on
July 3, 2017 by three workers on behalf of "Outsourced BJC
Transcriptionists" of BJC HealthCare System, 4901 Forest Park
Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri (BJC HealthCare System).
During the course of the investigation, the Department
obtained information that the three petitioners are not employees
of BJC HealthCare System (two petitioners were employees of a
hospital that is a member of the BJC HealthCare System and one
petitioner was employed by an affiliate of another hospital that
is a member of the BJC HealthCare System) and that not all of the
petitioners are medical transcriptionists.
The petition regarding the investigation has been deemed
invalid because the criteria set forth in 29 CFR 90.11 have not
been met. Consequently, the investigation has been terminated.
