Notice of Termination of Investigation
Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended,
an investigation was initiated in response to a petition filed on
January 30, 2017, by the state workforce office on behalf of
workers of Praxair, Inc., Leechburg, Pennsylvania.
The petition regarding the investigation has been deemed
invalid. Per 29 CFR 90, a petition may be filed on behalf of a
group of workers and a group is defined as "three or more workers
in a firm or an appropriate subdivision thereof." The Department
obtained information from the subject firm that the worker group at
Praxair, Inc., Leechburg, Pennsylvania consists of fewer than three
workers. Consequently, the investigation has been terminated.
