HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTOR COMPANY
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN

Notice of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as
amended, an investigation was initiated in response to a Trade
Adjustment Assistance petition filed on February 4, 2010, on
behalf of workers and former workers of Harley-Davidson Motor
Company, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
During the course of the investigation, the Department
received information that the filed petition is not the same
document that the workers signed.
The petition states that the workers who signed the
petition worked at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. The petition attachments include signed petitions
from the same three workers that state that they worked at the
Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility, the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
facility, the Franklin, Wisconsin facility, and the East Troy,
Wisconsin facility of Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
The petition states "NOTE: Workers completing this
Petition Form must provide information for the location where
they work."
Based on information obtained during the investigation,
not only were copies of the signed document made, the copies
were modified, and the modified copies were filed as the
workers' petition. Further, the workers were not informed of
the modifications by the individual who filed the petition on
their behalf.
The petition regarding the investigation has been deemed
invalid. Consequently, the investigation has been terminated.
Signed in Washington, D.C., this 19th day of November, 2010
