Notice of Termination of Investigation

Pursuant to Section 221 of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended,
an investigation was initiated in response to a petition filed on
July 7, 2009, by a company official of Electronic Data Systems,
Plano, Texas. The worker group in petition TA-W-71,557 is
identified as workers of Electronic Data Systems, located at 5400
Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas, 75024, who are engaged in employment
related to computer software and systems documentation.
On June 30, 2009, an investigation was initiated in response
to a petition filed by a company official of Electronic Data
Systems, located at 5400 Legacy Drive, Plano, Texas, 75024, who are
engaged in employment related to computer programming and software
development (TA-W-70,631). On September 9, 2009, the Department
issued a negative determination applicable to TA-W-70,631. On
October 15, 2009, the Department issued a negative determination
regarding an application for administrative reconsideration
applicable to TA-W-70,631.
Because the worker group covered by TA-W-70,631 is identical
to the worker group covered by petition TA-W-71,557, and no new
information or change in circumstances is evident which would
result in a reversal of the Department's previous determination
(TA-W-70,631), further investigation in this case would duplicate
efforts and serve no purpose. Consequently, the investigation has
been terminated.
Therefore, the petition regarding this investigation has been
deemed invalid, and the investigation has been terminated.
