Certification Regarding Eligibility to Apply for
Worker Adjustment Assistance

In accordance with Section 223 of the Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC
2273), as amended, the Department of Labor herein presents the
results of an investigation regarding certification of eligibility
to apply for worker adjustment assistance as a secondarily affected
worker group.
The investigation was initiated in response to a petition
received on June 3, 2003 and filed by the company on behalf of
workers at Sound Fish, Inc., Fishing Vessel (F/V) New York,

The investigation revealed that Sound Fish, Inc., Fishing
Vessel (F/V) New York, State of Alaska Commercial Fisheries Entry
Commission Permit # S01A583187, Hoonah, Alaska was an upstream
supplier of fresh salmon. The subject firm lost at least 20
percent of its business with a processor of salmon, whose workers
were certified eligible to apply for trade adjustment assistance.

Entry Commission Permit # S01A583187, Hoonah, Alaska qualify as
adversely affected secondary workers under Section 222 of the Trade

Signed at Washington, D.C., this 13th day of June 2003.
