Updated Information on POWER Initiative National Dislocated Worker Grants
To announce the continued availability of up to $31 million (remaining of an initial $38 million set-aside) in National Dislocated Worker Grants (DWGs) from funds available in Program Years (PY) 2016 and 2017 as part of the Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER) Initiative, and to increase the maximum award amount to $5 million from the previously-announced $2 million, to support the planning and implementation of workforce strategies for regions and communities that are negatively impacted by changes in the coal economy.
