Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) Social Media Toolkit

Enacted in 2008, the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) aims to make sure people seeking mental health and substance use disorder care do not face greater barriers to treatment than those faced by people seeking treatment for medical and surgical conditions.

There is still much to be done to achieve mental health parity and everyone must work together to get there. The U.S. Department of Labor has created this social media toolkit to raise awareness of the MHPAEA Campaign and provide organizations with the tools and resources they need to promote MHPAEA in their communities.
