Trends in Disability Employment
October 2024
Employment rates for people with disabilities are among their highest on record since disability data were first collected in the Current Population Survey in 2008. In addition, the long-standing employment gap between working-age people with disabilities and those without has declined in recent years, but the gap persists. In celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) and the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) partnered to highlight the economic recovery of people with disabilities from the COVID-19 pandemic.
