SUBJECT: Logistics Information for Benefit Timeliness and Quality (BTQ) Nonmonetary Determination Quality Review Training Seminars.

1.Purpose. To announce two additional training seminars and provide information on remaining FY 1999 training seminars including hotel and other logistics information for training participants.

2.References. ET Handbook No. 301, Revised January 1998, and Unemployment Insurance Program Letter No. 2-99.

3.FY 1999 BTQ Nonmonetary Determination Evauluation Training Seminars. Five remaining sessions of approximately 25 participants each are scheduled as follows:

4.Logistics Information. The attached sheets provide information on location, hours, hotel arrangements, and ground transportation for the upcoming training seminars. A separate sheet is provided for each seminar except for the seminars in New Orleans. Both sessions in New Orleans will be held at the same hotel and the arrangements are the same for both sessions. The deadline for making reservations is shown on each sheet.

5.State Nominees. Nominations for each session will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Nominations should indicate the session being requested. The deadlines shown above are for notification to the Regional Office (RO).

6.Action Required. State Administrators are requested to furnish the names of nominees to the appropriate RO and to ensure that nominees are aware of the lodging arrangements for the training seminars.

7.Inquiries. Direct any questions to the appropriate RO.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the hotel under the group name "U. S. Department of Labor, BTQ Training." The rate is $88 per night. Please reference the group name when making reservations to ensure the correct rate is quoted. Reservations must be made no later than February 26, 1999. GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

The hotel is located directly across the circle from the Foggy Bottom-GWU metro station on the blue line. The blue line is available from National Airport without a change of trains. GROUND TRANSPORTATION:

AirportBus or Super Shuttle provide transportation from local airports.
