SUBJECT	:	Annual Report of Internal Fraud Activities

1. Purpose. To distribute annual national data on internal fraud activities reported by State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs).

2. References. ET Handbook No. 376, Change 7, September 23, 1993.

3. Background. Form ETA-9000 provides information on SESA internal fraud activities in the Unemployment Insurance (UI) program. SESAs submit the ETA-9000 report to the U.S. Department of Labor annually.

4. Annual Reporting of Internal Fraud Activities. The attached report provides annual national data on internal fraud activities reported by SESAs for Fiscal Year 1997.

5. Action. SESA Administrators are requested to provide copies of the attachment to this UIPL to appropriate staff.

6. Inquires. Direct any questions to the appropriate Regional Office.
