Overpayment Recovery Technical Assistance Guide

 

  1. Purpose. To advise State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) of the publication and distribution of the new Overpayment Recovery Technical Assistance Guide (TAG).

  2. Reference. UIS Information Bulletin No. 2-96.

  3. Background.  A s part of the Overpayment Recovery Project described in UIS Information Bulletin No. 2-96, the California Employment Development Department developed a replacement for the Resource Handbook on Overpayment Recovery, ETA Handbook No. 375 , which is rescinded. The materials compiled for the project were the basis for the Overpayment Recovery Training provided to SESAs in June 1998. The updated reference materials are being issued under a separate mailing as the new Overpayment Recovery Technical Assistance Guide.

  4. Document Availability. In addition to this hard copy distribution, the TAG will be posted on the Information Technology Support Center (ITSC) web site: www.itsc.state.md.us

  5. Action Required. SESA Administrators are requested to provide this information to staff in the appropriate areas of Benefit Payment Control.
