Interstate Arrangement for Combining Employment and Wages (CWC) |
Purpose. To clarify procedures for handling combined-wage claims, wage transfers, overpayment credits, and other provisions of the CWC arrangement.

Background. During the past year as State Employment Security Agencies (SESAs) reviewed CWC procedures and implemented the INTERNET combined wage applications, a number of questions have been raised concerning the procedures and regulations governing the handling of combined-wage claims, wage transfers and related activities. This directive provides the questions and answers for all SESAs.
The procedures contained in ET Handbook No. 399 will be clarified andor updated in accordance with the information provided in this UIPL, as appropriate.
Action Required. State administrators are requested to provide the information contained in the attachment to this UIPL to all appropriate staff.
