Emergency Unemployment Compensation Act of 1991 - Questions and Answers |
Purpose. To respond to questions raised by States and Regional Offices regarding implementing Public Law 102-164.

Background. Public Law 102-164 created the Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) program, which was amended by H.R. 1724 on November 27, 1991. The EUC program provides for different EUC durations depending on the State's unemployment rate and exhaustions.
Action Required. State Administrators are requested to make a copy of this letter available to all appropriate staff.
