      • Standard Occupational Classification (SOC)

  • Straightforward access to occupational information:
    • "Summary" report replaces the previous "Snapshot" report.
    • "Details" report provides all O*NET information available for an occupation.
    • "Custom" report allows a user to customize their report. Now a user can:
      • Select desired O*NET descriptors,
      • Specify the "level" or "importance" scale criteria to display for a specific descriptor, and
      • Find related occupational titles from other classification systems.
    • Enhanced ability to cut and paste text by saving selected tables that meet user needs.

  • Links to wage and outlook information in America's Career InfoNet:
    • Direct connection from O*NET characteristics information to national and state occupational outlook and wages available from America's Career InfoNet (www.acinet.org).
    • Occupational outlook and wages also available for some local areas.

  • O*NET occupations and related apprenticeable specialties:
    • Job Zone (educational and experience requirements) descriptor now includes apprenticeship specialties associated with the occupation and links to the national and state apprenticeship office websites.
    • Registered Apprenticeship Information System (RAIS) crosswalk built into "Crosswalk" search function.

  • Direct links to major portals:

    • Screen reader compatibility is built into the system.
    • Ability to adjust on-screen font size through browser instead of linking to another site. (Replaces previous low-vision version.)

  • Companion online coding tool--O*NET Code Connector:
    • Searches a combination of occupational information including O*NET title, definition, associated lay titles, tasks and specific work activities (work content).
