SUBJECT	:	Evaluation of the Title IV Indian and Native American Program (INAP)

1. Purpose. To announce the publication and distribution of the report: Evaluation of the Title IV Indian and Native American Program.

2. Background. The INAP program is currently funded under Title IV of the Job Training Partnership Act. It provides job-related services to approximately 20,000 participants a year at 175 sites across the country, contributing to their occupational develop- ment and economic self-sufficiency. The purpose of the study was to determine the nature and quality of training, employment and support services provided within INAP. The report provides extensive data and information from the field which informs practitioners in the employment and training community and is a useful resource for guiding WIA implementation in this program area.

3. Distribution. The report has been distributed under separate cover to the above addressees.
