Knowledge Management Award

WASHINGTON — DisabilityInfo.gov, a one-stop federal Web site for disability-related information and resources, has received the e-gov Institute's Knowledge Management Award for "delivering high value to citizens in a knowledge management solution." The DisabilityInfo.gov team was honored at the Eighth Annual Knowledge Management Conference and Exhibition on April 4 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.

Gas Station/Convenience Store Chain Agrees to Pay $1 Million to Settle U.S. Labor Department Lawsuit

NEW YORK — Chestnut Petroleum Dist. Inc., with 37 gas station/convenience store locations throughout the Hudson Valley; Brooklyn and Long Island, N.Y.; and New Jersey and Connecticut, has agreed to pay 767 employees a total of $900,000 in back wages — plus a $100,000 penalty to the federal government — to resolve a U.S. Department of Labor lawsuit alleging violations of the federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
