US Department of Labors Womens Bureau to sponsor Green Resources and Opportunities for Women workshop Nov. 19 in Atlanta

ATLANTA The U.S. Department of Labor s Women s Bureau and the U.S. Small Business Administration will co-sponsor a workshop, Green Resources and Opportunities for Women (G.R.O.W.), on Thursday, Nov. 19, from 8:30 a.m. to12:30 p.m. EST at Morehouse College Executive Leadership Conference Center, Bank of America Auditorium in Atlanta.

This event will feature representatives from the Georgia Environmental Facilities Agency, Career Eco, C.D. Moody Construction, the U.S. Small Business Administration, the U.S. General Services Administration, the Federal Transit Authority and Power Solutions, who will share information about emerging green careers, jobs and contract opportunities.

The Women s Bureau and the Small Business Administration are sponsoring this workshop as one effort to ensure women are made aware of the opportunities available to them for training, careers, jobs and contracting as a result of the greening of the American economy, said Women s Bureau Regional Administrator Paulette Norvel Lewis.
