The new controls aim to reduce the risk of long-term opioid use. WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) Division of Federal Employees' Compensation (DFEC) has re-affirmed its award of a contract to Coventry Health Care Workers' Compensation Inc. that will allow the program to implement changes that improve and expand medication safety and quality initiatives for injured federal workers. The Department is committed to fighting the effects of opioid misuse for federal workers.

If a uranium mining or nuclear weapons worker is deceased, his or her surviving family members are invited to participate.

U.S. Department of Labor Adopts Rule to Foster Accurate And Prompt Benefit Payments in Longshore Claims

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP) has adopted new regulations that clarify how maximum and minimum compensation rates apply to claims payable under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act (LHWCA) and its extensions. The rule will be published in the Federal Register on April 19.
