US Department of Labor will hold advisory board meeting on compensation, medical benefits for current, former nuclear weapons workers in New Mexico
WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of Labor announced the Advisory Board on Toxic Substances and Worker Health for Part E of the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act will hold a two-day meeting on Nov. 15-16, 2023, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
The board advises the Secretary of Labor on technical aspects of the act, which provides compensation and medical benefits to current and former nuclear weapons workers diagnosed with medical conditions related to toxic substance exposures at covered nuclear facilities.
The meeting is open to the public, and participants may attend in-person, online and by teleconference.

- When: Wednesday, Nov. 15: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m./Thursday, Nov. 16: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. MST
Information on remote participation, either by teleconference or online will be available on the advisory board’s website no later than 72 hours before the meeting.
On Nov. 15, the board will hold a public comment session from 4:15 to 5 p.m. MST. To speak during the public comments session, reference the advisory board’s name and Nov. 15-16, 2023, meeting in an email to: EnergyAdvisoryBoard@dol.gov.
