OSHA, Cleveland Safety Forum renew alliance to protect workers

Background: OSHA and the Cleveland Safety Forum have renewed an alliance to raise awareness of workplace safety issues by training workers about job-related hazards. The alliance continues the joint effort to develop effective training programs for the local construction industry regarding construction hazards, provide safety seminars and talks, and share information on occupational safety and health laws.

Cleveland Safety Forum.
The alliance will use relevant injury, illness and hazard exposure data to identify areas of emphasis for alliance awareness, outreach and communication activities.
The alliance was first signed May 23, 2014. The renewed agreement remains in effect for five years.

Additional Background: Through its Alliance Program, OSHA works with groups committed to worker safety and health to prevent workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses. These groups include unions, consulates, trade or professional organizations, businesses, faith- and community-based organizations, and educational institutions. OSHA and the groups work together to develop compliance assistance tools and resources, share information with workers and employers, and educate workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities.
