OSHA co-sponsors worker safety and health conference with Sauk Valley Community College, March 10, in Dixon, Illinois

What: OSHA Safety Day Training Conference
When: Tuesday, March 10, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. CST
Where: Sauk Valley Community College 173 Illinois Route 2 Dixon, IL
Background: More than 300 employees and managers are expected to attend the event, representing a broad range of industries in Illinois, including manufacturing, healthcare, construction and grain. Information sessions covering safety issues related to machine guarding, fall prevention; electrical work, record-keeping and grain bin entry will be offered.
"This conference is a great opportunity for OSHA and the community to come together and share best safety and health practices to help businesses prevent injuries and protect their workers," said Jacob Scott, OSHA's area director in Aurora.

The fee for the conference is $59 per person, which includes the conference, handouts, continental breakfast and lunch.
