U.S. Department of Labor Announces Departure of Acting Administrator for the Wage and Hour Division

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced the resignation of Bryan Jarrett, Acting Administrator for the Wage and Hour Division, effective January 5, 2019.

"In Fiscal Year 2018, the Wage and Hour Division achieved twin new records: more than $300 million in recovered wages owed to workers, and more than 3,600 compliance events to help ensure that workers are receiving the wages they legally earned," said U.S. Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta. "Bryan Jarrett, as the Acting Administrator, helped the Department set these records. We thank Bryan for his service and wish him the best in his new private sector endeavor."

Jarrett joined the Department in October 2017.
