WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Secretary of Labor Alexander Acosta issued the following statement today regarding President Trump’s Executive Order on Reducing Poverty in America by Promoting Opportunity and Economic Mobility:

“President Trump is working to create jobs and opportunity for the American people, with nearly 3 million jobs created since Election Day 2016. A good job provides a pathway to economic independence. The President’s Executive Order takes an important step to help all Americans achieve self-sufficiency through quality, family-sustaining employment.”
