Supplemental funding award of $67K helps Massachusetts workers affected by Mersen USA and Philips Lightoiler closures

Use of Funds: On Feb. 20, 2014, the U.S. Department of Labor approved a National Dislocated Worker Grant for up to $1,222,904, with $641,983 released initially, for reemployment services to individuals whose jobs were lost after Mersen USA in Newburyport and Philips Lightoiler in Wilmington closed. Since the initial award, the project enrolled 184 participants, 56 of whom are still receiving services. This supplemental funding will assist these remaining 56 participants with job search support, case management services and transition support.
