Guam to receive $2.1M in incremental funding to continue clean-up and recovery efforts after Typhoon Dolphin

Use of Funds: On June 30, 2015, the department approved a National Dislocated Worker Grant for up to $2,772,641, with $592,253 released initially. This incremental grant brings the total funds awarded for this project to $2,766,706. The Guam Agency for Human Resources Development will receive $2,174,453 to continue temporary employment of eligible individuals to assist with the clean-up and recovery efforts needed after Typhoon Dolphin struck Guam from May 13-15, 2015. On June 5, 2015, the Federal Emergency Management Agency issued Major Disaster Declaration DR-4224 in response to the destruction left in the aftermath of the typhoon.
