Arkansas to receive funding to aid recovery following severing storms

Use of Funds: The funding of this National Dislocated Worker Grant award will create temporary jobs for eligible individuals to assist with clean-up and recovery efforts as a result of the effects of severe storms in Arkansas, which impacted the state's western portion from May 7 through June 15, 2015. The NEG was approved for up to $2,200,000, with $740,000 to be released initially, to create about 111 temporary jobs on projects to assist with clean-up, demolition, repair, renovation and reconstruction of destroyed public structures, facilities and lands within the affected communities.
