Grants to aid recovery after Typhoon Soudelor in Northern Mariana Islands

Use of Funds: The funding of this National Dislocated Worker Grant award will create temporary jobs for eligible individuals to assist with clean-up and recovery efforts following Typhoon Soudelor, which impacted the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands between Aug.1 and Aug. 3, 2015. The NEG was approved for up to $6,000,000, with $500,000 to be released initially, to create about 300 temporary jobs on projects to assist with repairing significant damage caused by heavy rains and strong winds associated with the storm.
