Use of Funds: The funding of this National Dislocated Worker Grant award will create temporary jobs for eligible dislocated workers to assist with clean-up and recovery efforts related to severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds and flooding in Texas that occurred between May 4 and June 19, 2015. The NEG was approved for up to $2,155,068, with $718,356 to be released initially, to create about 120 jobs, as well as to provide career and training services to those participants requiring this assistance in aid them in finding permanent employment.
