Michigan to receive funding to continue reemployment services to workers affected by manufacturing plant closure

Use of Funds: This incremental funding award will provide for the continuation of reemployment services to workers affected by the closure of TRW Integrated Chassis Systems, LLC, located in Saginaw. On June 17, 2014, the NEG was approved for up to $1,321,161, with $865,950 released initially, to serve about 200 of the 645 workers affected by the closure of TRW. The manufacturing plant, which produced vehicle components and assemblies, shuttered in February 2014, leading to the eventual elimination of all jobs at the plant.
