Guam to receive funding to help repair damage caused by Typhoon Dolphin

Use of Funds: Approved for up to $2,772,641 — with $592,253 released initially — this grant will create about 220 temporary jobs for eligible dislocated workers to assist with clean up and recovery efforts after Typhoon Dolphin. The event left public parks and roadways strewn with debris. Roads, bridges, public facilities and Guam's power and water systems sustained damage, and need repair. The funds will be used to provide for temporary employment on projects to assist with clean up, demolition, repair, renovation and reconstruction of destroyed public structures, facilities and lands within the affected communities, as well as for the delivery of humanitarian aid and safety assistance, as needed.
