Use of Funds: The funding will provide reemployment and training services to individuals impacted by layoffs from six companies located in the Metro South/West Workforce Investment Area of Massachusetts between July 2013 and August 2014. This proposed project plans to address the varied needs of the affected workers, while preparing them for jobs in advanced manufacturing, clean energy, green industries, healthcare, and information technologies. This NEG was approved for up to $3,214,752, with $980,499 to be released initially.
