Job Corps awards $41M to Management and Training Corp.
to operate Wind River center

The U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration today announced the award of a $41 million, five-year contract to operate the Wind River Job Corps center in Fremont, Wyo. Wind River will be the newest facility in the Job Corps program, which serves disadvantaged young people. The center will feature a state-of-the-art energy technology program, the first of its kind in the nation. The first students are expected to arrive at Wind River Job Corps by the end of 2015.

Contract Amount: $41,408,859

Period of Performance: May 1, 2015 — April 30, 2017, base period Three option years through April 30, 2020

Type of Procurement: Unrestricted (Cost reimbursement, incentive fee)

Enrollment Capacity: 300 students (130 residential males, 130 residential females, 40 non-residential students)

Academic Training: High School Diploma/GED/English Language Learners

Career Tech. Training: Carpentry, Cement Masonry, Computer Technician, Culinary Arts, Facilities Maintenance, Material & Distribution Operations, Office Administration, Plumbing and Welding, (CTTs offered at the center include Energy Technician/Extraction, Carpentry (Pre-Apprentice), Facilities Maintenance (Pre-Apprentice), Heavy Truck Driving, Welding, Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic and Heavy Equipment Operations).
