Chicago, Illinois - The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) has obtained a consent judgment and order requiring the Clinic in Altgeld Inc. of Chicago to restore $67,997 to the company's 401(k) plan as restitution for delinquent employee contributions and loan payments that were not forwarded to the plan.

Minneapolis, Minnesota - The U.S. Department of Labor has sued The Lampland Company Inc. of Rochester, Minnesota, and its chief executive officer for failing to forward contributions withheld from employees’ paychecks to the company’s SIMPLE IRA plan. Memphis, Tennessee - The U.S. Department of Labor has sued the former president of Memphis-based International Staff Management Inc. for mismanagement of the Section 125 cafeteria health plan. ISM was a staff-leasing firm that operated a multiple employer welfare arrangement that left participants with as much as $535,000 in unpaid health claims.

New York, New York - The U.S. Department of Labor has obtained an order from a federal court in Syracuse, New York, requiring the former principals of Bennett Funding Group Inc. to restore $2.66 million plus interest to the company’s pension, profit sharing and 401(k) plans.

WASHINGTON—The U. S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) today announced the appointment of Bradford P. Campbell to the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy.

Mr. Campbell directs the policy, legislative and research functions of the agency that administers the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). He serves as a liaison to other government agencies and the private sector on a variety of issues relating to ERISA.
