U.S. Department of Labor sponsors free workshop in Aurora, Colorado for licensed brokers, agents, ERISA consultants and third-party administrators

Denver – The U.S. Department of Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) and the Colorado Division of Insurance will hold a free workshop on Tuesday, September 11, in Aurora, Colorado, to help licensed insurance brokers and agents, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) consultants and third-party administrators identify pension plans that may be fraudulent. The workshop will be held at the Summit Conference and Event Center, 411 Sable Blvd.

EBSA will present an overview of Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements (MEWA) to help answer many questions concerning the effect of ERISA on MEWAs, along with facilitating federal-state regulatory and enforcement efforts.

Registration is open to the first 100 registrants and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Free parking is available on site.
