Labor Department Announces Web Page and Media Registration for 2006 SAVER Summit

Washington, DC - Today, the U.S. Department of Labor announced a new Web page of up-to-date activities in connection with the 2006 National Summit on Retirement Savings. The Summit will take place March 1-2 at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.

Media planning to attend the Summit should complete the online registration form at www.saversummit.dol.gov/medialogin.asp or fax the form to the department by February 23. To access the site, the username is Media and the password is Summit. If unable to register via the Web site, reporters should fax their name, media outlet, telephone and fax numbers, and email address on company letterhead to 202.693.5057. No official confirmation will be provided.

The 2006 Summit will focus on development of action plans to help at-risk groups plan and save for a financially secure retirement. The Summit is mandated by the Savings Are Vital to Everyone’s Retirement (SAVER) Act.
