ERISA Advisory Council to Hold First Meeting of 2004

Washington, DC - The first meeting of the Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans will be held on Tuesday, June 15, at 1:30 p.m. in the Secretary’s Conference Room, S-2508, at the U.S. Department of Labor, 200 Constitution Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20210. The Council’s new members will be sworn in, council leadership will be announced, and topics to be studied will be selected.

The ERISA Advisory Council consists of 15 members appointed to staggered three-year terms by the Secretary of Labor to advise on policies and regulations affecting employee benefit plans that private-sector employers sponsor. The members represent the general public, employer and employee organizations and the fields of insurance, corporate trust, investment management and counseling, accounting and actuarial services.
