Secretary Of Labor Elaine L. Chao Hosts 2002 Saver Summit - Major Speeches Will Be Available Via Webcast

Washington, DC - On February 7, U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao announced the agenda of the 2002 National Summit on Retirement Savings that will run from February 27 to March 1, 2002 at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C. The Summit will focus on “Saving for a Lifetime: Advancing Generational Prosperity.”
On February 27, the Summit will begin with a reception at the U. S. Botanical Garden and will feature remarks by congressional members. Chao, Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan and others will make remarks on February 28. A March 1 breakfast will feature remarks by congressional members.

Portions of the event will be Webcast live and in replay and can be accessed from the department's Webcast Directory page. The schedule of speeches to be Webcast will be available on the summit Web site Monday, February 25, 2002.
