Advisory Committee On Negotiated Rulemaking To Hold Public Meetings

The U. S. Department of Labor’s ERISA Section 3(40) Negotiated Rulemaking Advisory Committee will hold public meetings on August 25 and 26 to continue discussions to develop a proposed rule that would lay out a process and criteria for determining whether an employee benefit plan is established or maintained under a collective bargaining agreement.

The committee will meet at approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day at the department's headquarters, 200 Constitution Ave., N.W., Conference Room N-3437 C/D, Washington, D. C. All committee meetings are open to the public. Minutes of the committee meetings are available through PWBA’s Public Disclosure Facility, Room N5638, 200 Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20210.

Members of the public may submit 15 copies of written statements for the record by August 18 to Ellen Goodwin, Office of the Solicitor, Plan Benefits Security Division, U. S. Department of Labor, Room N-4611 at the street address above.
