The division offers numerous resources to ensure employers have the tools they need to understand their responsibilities and to comply with the FLSA child labor provisions, including the Young Worker Toolkit: https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/youthrules/young-worker-toolkit. Contact the Wage and Hour Division toll-free at 866-4US-WAGE (487-9243) for more information.

Quote: “Education is the most effective way to prevent compliance issues. These child labor webinars are designed to help employers understand their legal responsibilities when they hire young workers and inform young workers, their parents and others about how young workers can benefit from their employment experience without sacrificing their safety or their schooling,” explained Wage and Hour Regional Administrator Mark Watson in Philadelphia.
