WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced National Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) funding of $503,079, awarded to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development to provide reemployment services to individuals impacted by the closure of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station, owned by Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded nearly $1.5 million in grant funding to organizations in Illinois, Virginia, and Wisconsin to help recruit, train, and retain more women in quality pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs. WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today signed a bi-lateral cooperative agreement with Guatemala to facilitate increased transparency, accountability, and worker safety in the H-2A nonimmigrant visa program for temporary agricultural workers from Guatemala.

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today approved additional funding of $800,000 for a Disaster Recovery National Dislocated Worker Grant (DWG) awarded to Workforce West Virginia in response to severe storms in February 2018. This additional funding brings the total DWG funds awarded for this project to $1,633,325.

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced a new grant program to help women affected by the opioid crisis re-enter the workforce. The Re-Employment, Support, and Training for the Opioid Related Epidemic (RESTORE) grant will award $2.5 million to organizations that assist in providing coordinated, employment-focused services to women.
