Public Disclosure Office For Labor Department's Pension And Welfare Benefits Administration Moves

The Public Disclosure Room for the Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration, U.S. Department of Labor, will close from Dec. 15 to Dec. 18, to relocate staff and equipment. The PWBA Public Disclosure Room will reopen Dec. 19 in its new location in Room N-1513, Frances Perkins Building, 200 Constitution Ave. NW, Washington, DC 20210.

Wade & Sons Pension Plan Trustee Sued For Making Improper Loans

The U.S. Department of Labor has filed a lawsuit alleging that Wade & Sons, Inc. and its owner improperly transferred funds from the company’s profit sharing plan, thereby resulting in more than $146,600 in losses to the plan.

Labor Department Publishes Year 2000 Form M-1 For Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements

The U. S. Department of Labor’s Pension and Welfare Benefits Administration today announced it will publish in the Federal Register the Year 2000 Form M-1 annual report for multiple employer welfare arrangements (MEWAs). This form is the same as the 1999 form, but several clarifications were added to the instructions in response to comments.
