Chief of Staff Aaron Britt

Aaron Britt is the Chief of Staff for the Office of Public Affairs. He previously served as Communications Director for Secretary Chavez-DeRemer during her tenure in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he spearheaded earned media and press strategy for her campaign and congressional communications.

An Iowa native, Mr. Britt worked on Capitol Hill for four years, including as Press Secretary for Senator Chuck Grassley and Communications Director for Congressman Randy Feenstra. Before working in Washington, D.C., he was the Communications Director at the Republican Party of Iowa during the 2020 election cycle, where he oversaw the state party's press operations for the 2020 Iowa Caucus, several competitive U.S. House races, and a U.S. Senate race.

Mr. Britt also worked as a Clerk in the Iowa legislature for several sessions, as a Field Director for a congressional campaign, and began his career as Page for the Speaker of the Iowa House of Representatives. He graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, holding a B.A. in Politics and Economics.
