Overview of Regional Work
The Women’s Bureau’s regional offices play a vital role in advancing the priorities of the U.S. Department of Labor under the leadership of the Secretary of Labor and under the direction of the Women’s Bureau Director who is appointed by the President.
As the Bureau’s outreach arm, regional staff engage with stakeholders across the country to promote the welfare of wage-earning women, improve working conditions, enhance workforce efficiency, and expand opportunities for meaningful and profitable employment.
Our regional offices achieve these objectives through:
- Outreach and Education
- Distribution of DOL Resources and Materials Workforce Development
- Employer Engagement & Technical Assistance
- Program Implementation
- Stakeholder Collaboration
Through these efforts, the Women’s Bureau’s regional offices serve as a bridge between federal initiatives and local action, ensuring that programs and practices effectively support the economic well-being of women nationwide.
