Stand Up for Grain Safety Week, April 4-8, 2022

Free Virtual Event

Stand Up 4 Grain Safety Week is an annual event sponsored by OSHA’s national Alliance with the National Grain and Feed Association, Grain Elevator and Processing Society, and Grain Handling Safety Coalition. Every year hundreds of employees are injured or die from preventable hazards while working in grain storage and handling. This year’s theme, “Small Changes, Big Impact,” emphasizes that making even small changes in the workplace can go a long way to improving safety. Participate in this year’s Stand Up by joining free, virtual learning sessions each day, or conducting a toolbox talk, training, or focused discussion on a grain safety topic at your worksite.

Event Schedule:

Monday: Kick Off
Tuesday: Electrical Safety
Wednesday: Heat Stress and Weather-Related Hazards
Thursday: Personal Protective Equipment
Friday: Slips/Trips/Falls, Crush and Struck-By Hazards
